Video: Alaphilippe's Worlds-winning, unwashed Specialized Tarmac SL7

Julian Alaphilippe did it again.

On the roads of Flanders on Sunday, the Frenchman took his second straight World Championship title with an impressive solo attack. Sunday’s elite men’s race was electrifying, and as Alaphilippe’s name didn’t get thrown around perhaps quite as much as one or two others in the pre-race build-up, his win had many slapping their foreheads in stupidity for not picking the reigning World Champion.

We were lucky enough to get our hands on his bike that only hours before had crossed the line. Still dirty, covered in dust, grime and dribble, it was just what you’d expect a rainbow winning bike to be like.

The same bike (okay, same model and parts) took Alaphilippe’s to the 2020 world title. And as you may guess, the team at Specialized were just a touch excited to firstly get their eager hands on the Tarmac SL7 that will now be winging its way to California to be placed in their “hall of bike fame”.
