After nearly a decade apart, Look bikes and Cofidis are reuniting

French brands Look and Corima have announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with French WorldTour team Cofidis. The deal includes outfitting the men’s WorldTour team, the women’s Continental team, and the UCI Paracycling team with Look bikes and pedals, while Corima will continue to provide the team with its foam-core carbon wheels.

Look’s pedals have long been associated with the big names and victories of the sport. However, it’s a different story for its bikes. It’s been over a decade since the French brand’s bikes were last seen at the top tier of the sport. By our count, Look bikes have been missing from the WorldTour ranks since 2010 when its sponsored team at the time – Cofidis – dropped down to UCI ProTeam (then Pro Continental) status. Most recently, Look’s bikes were raced by Russian squad Gazprom-Rusvelo, a team that both Look and Corima walked away from earlier this year.

Look previously sponsored Cofidis between 2009 and 2014, and replaces De Rosa as the bike supplier from the 2023 season onwards.

It’s yet to be announced what specific Look bike models the team will race on. However, it’s likely to be a mix of the aerodynamic 795 Blade RS, the lightweight 785 Hues RS, and the 796 Monoblade RS for time trials. Other equipment sponsors are to be confirmed, although it’s expected that Cofidis will continue with Campagnolo, especially given that the Italian component manufacturer is assumed to be down a team next year.
