Israel-Premier Tech and Uno-X awarded Tour de France wildcards

Israel-Premier Tech and Uno-X awarded Tour de France wildcards

Despite having been relegated from the WorldTour after failing to earn enough UCI points across the 2022 season, Israel-Premier Tech will race at the 2023 Tour de France. The former WorldTeam will join Norwegian outfit Uno-X as the two wildcard invites to the 2023 edition with the latter racing in their Tour debut.

The two wildcards are chosen by race organisers Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and complete the line-up of 22 teams.

Israel-Premier Tech and Uno-X will line up against the 18 WorldTour teams who are automatically invited as well as the two top-ranked ProTeams from the 2022 season, Lotto Dstny and TotalEnergies.

The decision will come as a disappointment for team Euskaltel-Euskadi, who had hoped to get an invite for a home grand-depart in the Basque Country.
