Blackheart out of Southern California is here at Sea Otter showing off the new logo and a racier titanium option. While the new bike isn’t available just yet, preorders will open in May 2023.
For the new road-specific model, Blackheart didn’t want to just make an iteration of the Allroad bike, which echos classic road bike design, but rather fully embrace a modern road bike aesthetic. The Road Ti is electronic shifting only with fully integrated brake lines. There is an option for a one-piece carbon cockpit, but the design accepts many different stem and bar options.
The geometry is more race-oriented for a ride that is smooth and snappy. The aero downtube and flared top tube are great examples of modern medal work without the high price normally associated with Ti. Dropped seat stays and room for 32mm tires make this still a very versatile option.
A T47 bottom bracket offers great compatibility while also minimizing bottom bracket noise and issues.
